Jollibee Group Philippines Identifies Over 1,500 Potential Trade Areas, Underscoring Long-Term Growth Opportunities Nationwide

Key Highlights

With more than 3,500 stores as of the first half of 2026 and over 1,500 potential trade areas identified for expansion between 2027 and 2030, Jollibee Group (Jollibee Foods Corporation; PSE: JFC) sees significant long-term growth opportunities across Jollibee Group Philippines, its Philippine business, combining an extensive nationwide presence with considerable room for further expansion beyond Metro Manila.

“Our scale provides a strong foundation for future growth, and we see even greater opportunities to reach more consumers, particularly in markets beyond our existing footprint, and serve more occasions. We will pursue these opportunities through aggressive but disciplined expansion, guided by site viability and sustainable returns, alongside stronger execution and store formats that make our brands more accessible,” said Joseph C. Tanbuntiong, Chief Executive Officer, Jollibee Group Philippines and Head of Jollibee Brand Global.

Together, Jollibee, Mang Inasal and Chowking — Jollibee Group Philippines champion brands — account for nearly 90% of Philippines’ systemwide sales. The Philippine business sustained growth at scale in 2024 and 2025, with systemwide sales increasing 10% in each year and same-store sales growing 8% and 5%, respectively. Momentum continued in the first half of 2026, supported by positive systemwide and same-store sales growth. Together, these results show that growth is supported by both network expansion and productivity across the existing store base.

Nationwide Scale, Substantial Room to Grow

Jollibee Group’s network assessment has identified over 1,500 potential trade areas for expansion from 2027 to 2030 across Jollibee, Mang Inasal and Chowking. About 71% of these areas are located outside Metro Manila, highlighting opportunities to further expand Jollibee Group Philippines’ nationwide presence and bring its brands closer to more consumers. Actual store openings will remain subject to site availability, commercial viability and the Group’s disciplined expansion criteria.

Champion Brands Continue to Grow

Jollibee, which represents approximately 62% of Philippine systemwide sales, sustained positive systemwide sales growth in the first half of 2026. Mang Inasal remained a standout growth brand over the same period, while Chowking continued to broaden the portfolio’s reach across everyday Filipino dining occasions. Together, the three brands demonstrate that established scale and continued relevance can coexist.

This growth opportunity is reflected in the priorities of the brand presidents leading Jollibee, Mang Inasal and Chowking as they expand into more communities, serve more customer occasions and strengthen execution across their networks.

“Our opportunity is to bring the joy of Jollibee to more Filipino families, creating more bonding moments through the food they love and experiences they cherish. As we expand our reach, we remain committed to strengthening the stores and communities we already serve, growing with discipline, and making Jollibee more accessible for every occasion. Ultimately, our growth is not just about opening more stores but about bringing more joy to more Filipinos every day,” said Ferns Yu Jr., President of Jollibee Philippines.

“Mang Inasal has considerable room to grow by bringing our Ihaw-Sarap, Unli-Saya experience to more communities. We are expanding thoughtfully, improving accessibility through formats such as drive-thru, and strengthening execution so that every new store builds on the trust and loyalty of our consumers,” said Mike Castro, President of Mang Inasal.

Growth Beyond Store Count

The next phase of growth will be driven not only by disciplined store expansion but also by serving more consumers, increasing visit frequency and participating in more occasions. Delivery, drive-thru, digital ordering and flexible store formats expand access, while stronger execution can raise productivity across the existing network.

“Chowking’s growth opportunity comes from serving more communities and becoming relevant across more everyday dining occasions. We are focused on expanding selectively, elevating store execution and developing formats that make our Chinese-style favorites easier for more customers to enjoy,” said Ana Aluyen, President of Chowking Philippines.

Early format innovation is already producing encouraging results and expanding the occasions on which consumers can access Jollibee Group’s brands. Mang Inasal’s first drive-thru opened in Sta. Maria, Bulacan, in December 2025; by the first half of 2026, eight drive-thru locations were operating and generating average daily sales approximately 40% above the average for other stores. The result provides an early example of how new formats can complement geographic expansion and improve store productivity.

A Long Runway Built on Proven Execution

Jollibee Group Philippines’ long runway for growth is built on champion brands, a broad store and franchise network, established operating capabilities and deep local market knowledge. Together, these strengths provide a proven platform for reaching more consumers across underserved trade areas, serving them more often and creating new occasions for its brands.
