Alberta Agriculture Minister Visits Jollibee Group to Explore Business Expansion Opportunities in Canada

MANILA, Philippines. 18 July 2025 – The Jollibee Group recently welcomed the Honorable RJ Sigurdson, Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation of Alberta, Canada, to its headquarters in Manila to discuss potential commercial partnerships and business expansion opportunities in Alberta.
Minister Sigurdson was joined by Deputy Minister Jason Hale and representatives from Alberta’s Indo-Pacific Hub and the Canadian Embassy in the Philippines. The meeting provided a platform to explore how Jollibee Group could further strengthen its presence in Canada, including the possibility of expanding its store network in Alberta.

Strengthening partnership
The Jollibee Group shared updates on the company’s growth journey in Canada and its continued commitment to bringing its signature brand closer to Canadian customers, particularly in Alberta—one of Canada’s fastest-growing, most vibrant, and diverse provinces.
“Canada continues to be a key growth market for the Jollibee Group. Just last year, we opened our milestone 100th store in North America, located in British Columbia, Canada. Jollibee Group operates 28 stores across Canada as of May 2025, with eight of these located in Alberta, including key cities such as Edmonton, Calgary, and Red Deer.
During the visit, Minister Sigurdson highlighted Alberta’s leadership in advancing sustainability in agriculture and agri-food production, and shared how the province’s robust capabilities in these areas could support future partnerships with food companies like the Jollibee Group.
