Jollibee Advances U.S. Growth with Downtown San Francisco Opening

Key Highlights:
MANILA, Philippines, 3 August 2026 – Jollibee Foods Corporation (PSE: JFC), also known as the Jollibee Group, is strengthening its North America growth platform with the opening of a new Jollibee store in downtown San Francisco, California, on July 31, 2026.
Located at 934 Market Street, near the Powell Street BART station, the new store deepens Jollibee’s presence in the Bay Area—one of its most important U.S. growth markets and home to the brand’s first U.S. location, which opened in Daly City in 1998.
The opening builds on Jollibee’s expanding North American footprint of more than 100 stores across the U.S. and Canada, reinforcing the brand’s scale in a key international growth market. The brand continues to build mainstream appeal through its differentiated menu, strong value proposition, and growing consumer recognition.
This growing recognition includes Chickenjoy being named the “best fast-food fried chicken in America” by USA TODAY for the third consecutive year in July 2026, reinforcing the brand’s relevance beyond its core Filipino and Filipino-American customer base.
“The Bay Area has welcomed Jollibee with open arms ever since we debuted our very first U.S. location in Daly City nearly three decades ago, and we are absolutely thrilled to bring our joyful dining experience to the heart of downtown,” said Beth Dela Cruz, President, Jollibee North America. “This dynamic city is a milestone location for us as we continue to accelerate our growth across California.”
Jollibee is set to further expand in California with upcoming stores in Oxnard, Elk Grove, and Roseville, with the Roseville location scheduled to open on August 7, 2026, as the brand’s third franchised store in North America. Through its North American Franchising Program, the brand is also accelerating growth across the region, supported by an average unit volume of $4.9 million—approximately 2.5 times that of many QSR industry players—and multi-unit franchise commitments in key states including Nevada, New York, Texas, and Washington. These indicators reinforce Jollibee’s long-term growth opportunity in North America.
Jollibee is the flagship brand of Jollibee Group and a key driver of the company’s international growth ambitions. The Group recently earned two 2026 TIME recognitions—its inclusion in the TIME100 Companies Industry Leaders in Food & Drink top-10 shortlist and recognition on the TIME100 Most Influential Companies list—making it the only Philippine company to enter both global lists.
